he can do either or. great choice. b good time to be ray lewis right now. >> he is a special kind of guy/player. this organization from day one just what he means to the entire city and state and all those things, it is a unique situation. >> the level of play makes for a physical and spiritual effect. who but ray lewis has better accomplished that? >> i was a little bit skeptical. when he came back and said as far as what impact he was truly going to be able to have on this season. coming back from injury, one you shouldn't come back from. it was amazing to do so. the way he came back and not only how he played but how they rallied around him. >> i am waiting to see your ray lewis impersonation. >> i do the squirrel.

9:37 am
super bowl party. we will have
9:38 am
9:39 am
>> well, we are tracking some light snow building back across the area. we got some last night. accumulating about a coating to an inch in some areas. so there is still some snow on the ground. many of the side streets have icy spots as well. now here come the snow showers. these look pretty dramatic on the radar. usually the radar embellishes things. most of this isn't reaching the ground. what i think is reaching the ground are the darker shades of purple there. those will start to accumulate in northern virginia it will slide into dc and northern parts of maryland.
9:40 am
there are flurries starting to build already and through out the day some areas could see a coating of snow. temperatures are on the chilly side. we are below the freezing mark in many spots. 27 degrees at the airport 30 downtown haguerstown 25. they are building back into the 30s at this point. we are expecting the roads to be a little icy this morning as we stay above the freezing mark through out the morning hours. the mid to upper 30s mostly cloudy skies and light snow showers starting to develop. best chances for accumulation come through the afternoon and evening hours in baltimore. it is very minimal amount. enough to coat the roads in some spots. not too much trouble. be careful. it will be a busy day people going to lagrocery last minute r food items and super bowl parties. a few more clippers move this way. that shows us our 7-day forecast as we not only have a chance for snow later today but monday

9:43 am
patted not. then run through a machine and special square cutter. here's where the finesse really begins. the perfect is about a flick of the wrist that sends it into an oil mill. >> i am in. i am in. it went every where. would you give me another one. >> let's try that again. >> beautiful. it was beautiful? so you se i have to try this now. it looks to good not to eat. as absolutely dell licious.
9:44 am
the real trick with that is to make sure that you eat it over something and don't wear back. i am so glad we went there earlier in the week. right now there is not a square inch to spare inside that cafe. we have a to go little walkup spot and they have lots of plies to help. that place is the spot to be right now. later today you see it behind me this is where everyone will be at the super bodome for the sup bowl. i can't believe the ravens are here in new orleans. >> that's how i cook all of the time. >> throw it and run. that's what i do. >> coming up on is 1 news sunday morning we will show you the tasty treats they love to eat after the game. >> first a look at the winning lottery numbers.

10:00 am
>> just eight hours from now the ravens and niners will battle. we begin in the big easy. >> we see a lot of people out and about. not everyone gets up that early. but we see a lot of ravens fans here. >> and you can tell these are the ones who didn't go crazy so they're bright-eyed. all day long on super bowl
10:01 am
sunday talking about with this team you need some for tune to make it all the way to the super bowl. the ball has to bounce your way. you need to catch your break. but the ability to compete every year and have that possibility the ravens vit because it's a quality franchise. that means you've got to build it through personnel. the general managers gets a lot of credit. his number two guy. not bad either. >> you may not recognize his name but if you want to know the bill dog who gives ozzie the best pieces from which to choose and build this franchise it's the ravens' general merg, a home-grown raven having risen from intern to right hand man. other n.f.l. teams try to hire him away. every year he says no thanks i'm staying. here's why. >> i'm motivated by winning and relationships. and i love the fact that we're able to consistently feel the competitive team playofftype
10:02 am
team and we work -- i work with great guys. and that's at the end of the day when things are said and done you have your relationships. >> an incredibly patient approach. that's all he knows. >> if you're not a reactionary organization that's going to make sweeping changes every year. we're patient. we've learned from the patriots and steal steelers where there's been little turnover. we want our 53rd player to be better than all the other team players. that's kind of what our philosophy is building the roster. >> that philosophy allowed the ravens to survive all those injuries. but now the hardest part for any personnel man as his team reach it is biggest stage. >> watching can be frustrating because i can't control it unlike the draft and free agencies. so i'm riding their coattails right now and i want to see them succeed. >> and if the ravens succeed you might just see a rare smile
10:03 am
from the future general manager of the ravens. >> there's a lack of arrogance. they recognize we can always do better and when you do that you consistently compete and find yourself occasionally at the super bowl. >> clearly they are doing something right and throughout the season there were times folks thought we wouldn't be here. but here we are. >> we're doing a little celebrating. >> i bet they will. >> thanks guys. and with the super bowl 47 finally upon us ravens nation has spiraled into a frenzy. >> live team coverage picks up in perry hall where reporter kim is having breakfast with some of the breakfast of champions ravens fantics. >> hey. >> we've got some of the biggest fans out here. >> we have got a lot of -- we are readsy to go. ready too watch the game. of course every good wravens
10:04 am
fan has -- every good ravens fan has their own superstitions about how to watch the game and how to win the game. now, pam has some superstitions. what are we going to be doing tonight? >> normally i watch it through the third quarter then i get so flustered and nervous i turn it off and then my husband will come in the room and update me and he'll say touchdown. i'll put my head under the covers and say ok. and then the end of the game he'll flip it on and say yes we won. >> well yes, he will definitely be saying that. we are going to win. denise has her story from the last super bowl that the ravens won. >> the story is that i had a bet with a good friend of mine who was a giants fan. i know. and the bet was that we would each exchange parafern alia of the other team whoever won. and i wanted this hat. >> very nice. >> i love this hat. it's my lucky hat. i wear it on the weekend during
10:05 am
the game. so i'm going to get another one. >> tonight. that's right. now of course it's bitter suite because this is ray louis' last game for good. what are you feeling right now? >> i think ray lieu wiss has been an insfwration to this city and i think that we're definitely going to win this game because ray's going to will it. >> we're going to win it for ray. that's right. take us out on a cheer. we are live here with some great fans. and something about fans, super fans. jennifer. she is live in new orleans. what have you got for us? we're having a great time out here. >> you sound like you're having so much fun. we are having a great time here at the super dome where the fans keep coming out. this is the glascock family who just got in last night. i love these beads. >> my friend made them. >> is she selling them here? >> she is.
10:06 am
